Tips for Rebuilding Your Self Esteem

Rebuilding your Self Esteem is in it's simplest form unbelieving what you have been led to believe about yourself. The key phrase in that first sentence is Led to Believe about Yourself.

Many of our self esteem or lack thereof issues are traced back to our childhood. Were you raised in a highly critical environment or was it a more nurturing atmosphere with alot of positive reenforcement.

I am willing to bet that most of us can think back and remember a time when we were told that we weren't capable of doing something. Whether it be something like making the cheerleading team or getting into a particular career.

You may remember something like that and think it was so long ago and a small thing it didn't really affect me but you still remember it don't you? Maybe it wasn't as small as you think.

Let's give you some Tip's for Rebuilding Your Self Esteem

1) Give Yourself a Pat on the back you deserve it. You may not believe so but there are plenty of things in your life that you should be very proud of.

Low Self Esteem usually brings feelings of never having accomplished anything worthwhile. I'm not talking about inventing the wheel here but for instance Christmas just passed I bet you made a dessert or something else someone liked that is an accomplishment(get the idea).

2) Learn Something new. Do you want a new job go take a class to help you get that new job. Maybe you just saw something on Tv that interests you get online and learn more about it.

Stimulating your mind with learning new things is an excellent way of Rebuilding Your Self Esteem the feeling of accomplishment. Isn't Low Self Esteem the feeling of not being able to or never having accomplished anything?

3) Let go of your negative thoughts. Can be easier said than done right? Wrong one of the best ways to help you do this is confide in a loved one or trusted friend.

Talking to someone who you know will be supportive will help you release those negative idea's and stick to the positives. Tell them about what you really want out of life and you will begin to believe it is possible.
